If we are going to be honest with ourselves, wedding season is a pretty hard time on the budget, particularly for women! Unless each wedding has a completely different crowd, there is no chance that you can repeat a dress, and with every dress, you need a pair of shoes, and a beautiful purse to help complete the outfit.
Last night, I had the immense pleasure of attending the stunning Annie and handsome Tro’s wedding. The bride was beautiful, and the setting of the party was just amazingly lush and green. Now, seeing as I took it upon myself to search for a dress well in advance, I was able to browse the sites, and find something that I found colorful, pretty, and that fit my body type.
After looking through many different sites, I was worried that I would have to resort to hitting a mall and going through the crowds of people lined up for the dressing rooms. But ASOS saved my butt from having to do that.
So that I am clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with hitting up the retail stores, I just prefer to shop and try things on at my own pace.
Now the hard part of buying online is definitely making sure that you pick the right size. I used to be a pro at it, but, this past year, my body has gone through lots of changes, and as a result, I don’t wear the same size, and the online shopping options needed to be re-adapted as a result. Regardless, I took the plunge, went to the site, bought the dress and waited for the package in the mail.
The wait was well worth it!
The coral/peach off the shoulder peplum dress by Club L added class and style to a fitted fabric. I am short, so the dress was a little longer than expected, but I did not mind it, and didn’t bother getting it hemmed.
Seeing as the dress is of a bright and light color, I opted for nude strappy heels from L’intervalle (my new fav shoe store) and a simple Aldo clutch.
Jewelry wise, I kept it simple, yet a bit embellished (if that makes sense). I put on a crystal studded choker by Shopshals (I absolutely love this girl so please check her out!!), and a few Swarovski studded bangles that I had received as a gift, and voila! I was ready for a party!!
Let me know what you think of this outfit, and how you feel about online shopping for a dress for a wedding?
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!
