One particular trend that I have been absolutely in love with this season is the floral trend.

From dresses, to shoes, to pants, and everything in between, I have jumped on the bandwagon in full force and can happily say that I’ve got a bit of everything incorporated into my wardrobe.

For those who like the look, but are a bit intimidated, I’ve compiled a few examples that I have in my wardrobe to help you incorporate a few pieces into yours, without pushing you to the boundaries of this trend.

The office pencil skirt, for example, is a perfect way to incorporate the look into a professional environment.

Now, my office is kind enough to allow us ladies to be a little free with our wardrobe. Obviously, within reason. But this skirt can be brought into even the strictest of environments while allowing you to express some summer love, a little trend and color.

For this look, I’ve paired my Zara skirt with a simple tank top I bought at Dynamite Clothing many years ago, as well as a lovely pair of blush pink heels I found at Macy’s on a random trip to New York.

Need to add something to cover up the shoulders? How about a sweater or blazer? What color? I would suggest a light pastel tone, to either match a color in the skirt or the shoes.

Another way to bring a floral look to the office without overdoing it would be to throw on a beautiful pair of floral pants.

If you follow me on IG, you may have seen this outfit post on repeat. Reason why? This pair of Dynamite Clothing floral, wide legged pants, combined with a tie front dress shirt, and a pair of sky high sandals is the ultimate comfortable chic look for the frigid A/C filled office.

I cannot seem to get enough of this ootd!

If you still find the floral look a bit intimidating, the simplest way to get yourself into it, is with a dress.

I found this cross front floral dress at Dynamite Clothing this past spring and have been sooooooo happy to incorporate it into my wardrobe ever since.

The crossed front with the full length at the back allows you to show off some serious leg while strutting your stuff down the hallways and streets, and the belted waist gives you a chance to accentuate your best features.

Worried about the fact that it is crossed at the front? Don’t be! Dynamite had the genius idea of adding snaps, AND a button to help keep your dress together regardless of how much cleavage you have, or how windy it gets!

Just keep your hands close to the hips if a massive breeze comes along… otherwise you will be showing everyone the goods 🙂

If long dresses aren’t your thing, and you’re a big advocate of showing off those sexy legs of yours (if you’ve got it, please flaunt it), how about something a little shorter?

I found this beauty at Zara at the beginning of spring, and love how light and summery it is!

The shoulders have caped ruffles to add even more of a feminine touch to the beautiful pastel colored flowers on this dress, which is also cross tied at the waist.

Although it may be slightly on the short side, if you pair it with modest heels, and your work environment is flexible, you may be able to pull it off there. Otherwise, thrown on some pumps and head out to brunch, or an evening at a BBQ, a Sunday picnic, or a stroll in a park while on a date!

With summer being so short, it’s really nice to be able to enjoy some of your favorite trends without taking it to the extreme level. Especially for those of us living on budgets.

I hope you have an amazing Canada Day/ Independence day long weekend!!

Cheers! xxx
