If you live in Montreal, you’re aware that summer has decided to show up this past week. We have been blessed with a beautiful September, to help compensate for the unimpressive weather we have had all summer.

Although we may still be donning shorts and all of the beautiful pieces we have been trying to wear since June, it doesn’t mean that there is no need to be prepared or even slightly excited for fall.

Wearing my summer floral dress for as long as I can

For the colder weather to come, I’ve chosen to pair one of my favorite Zara dresses from this past summer (I’ve hyperlinked an alternative here for you as mine is no longer available), with a pair of thigh high boots that I had in my closet from many many years ago.

Florals are still on trend for fall

The short length of the dress is perfect for a fun night out, while the florals and frills keep everything on trend (florals and ruffles are a hot trend that is transitioning from summer to fall).

These thigh highs are slightly on the slouchy side, without looking too voluminous

For the boots, seeing as I’ve had them for many years now, they are no longer available. But to help you locate a pair that can be just as fun, how about a pair of burgundy red boots from Brown’s shoes?  The puppies I’ve linked are colorful, and slightly loose around the leg, so that you can try to pull something similar off, but if they don’t do it for you, just send me a quick email and I’ll see if I can help find the perfect pair!

Seeing as it does get a little chilly overnight, a black “leather” jacket would be perfect to keep you warm while staying stylish.

I hope you all have a great week!!

BTW! I’m playing around with the blog format a little. I’m trying to make the articles simpler so that we can focus more on the outfit ideas I’m curating for you all. All feedback on what you like/don’t like is welcome, as well as if there is anything that you would like to see on here!
