Wearing summer dresses during cooler weather can be a fun experience, especially when you get a chance to be creative. For this outfit, I opted to layer a fun blouse under a plain black dress that’s somewhat inspired by the 70s, and somewhat thicker than a typical summer dress.
Although I bought this Zara dress in the spring, it turned out to be a perfect layering piece for fall as well (I’ve linked an alternative that may work).
For a fun little piece to layer under the dress, I opted for a Zara polka dot blouse, with 3/4 sleeves and a black collar. Because that blouse isn’t available I’ve linked a lovely blue alternative.
Finally,to add a little “color”, I completed the look with the same lovely boots I wore just this past weekend. These H&M boots are amazingly comfortable and beautiful considering how cheap and cheerful they are.
Although the outfit may not be as work appropriate seeing as the skirt is a little short, this OOTD would be a great option for a night out!
I hope you enjoyed the look. Please let me know if there are any particular styling tips that you are looking for.
I look forward to hearing your feedback!!
Happy Thursday!
