Event Season is Upon Us

Well, ladies and gents, in just over a month, we will be celebrating the holidays. This means, lots of food, lots of family and lots of fun! But it also means digging through your closet, or hitting the stores to find the perfect outfit for each event.

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I plan my outfits, I would always rather overdress than under dress. Its better to be the star of the show than the one who underwhelmed the entire event! This is why, my arsenal is varied and I’m sharing my secrets to make the simplest of outfits shine!

So stay tuned, because as of today, I’ll be featuring a few outfit ideas to help you get set up for the holidays to come.

To start, my first outfit option is something simple, yet sexy: Cold shoulder mini dresses.

Now, lets admit, this dress is cute, frilly, but not very fancy. This is why it’s perfect for an at home party with family or friends!

The Zara cold shoulder polka dot dress gives the casual yet sexy outfit a slightly whimsical, not so serious look. The long sleeves, tights and Zara booties make this a comfortable outfit that will keep you warm, if the heating isn’t up as high as we would like it to be.

The tights and booties are black so that everything blends in. As a result, the attention is brought to the dress, to make it a less casual than expected look.

I also chose to make my hair wavy instead of straight to keep with the formless/free flowing look this dress gives.

An alternatively cool option, would be to swap the black booties for a burgundy, or bright red pair. This would make the outfit stand out oh so very differently, as the focus would be on the shoes, obviously without compromising on the sexy.
