Notice how I always refer to weather when I start my post? That’s because us Montrealers don’t really have a choice but to dress according to what mother nature dishes out.
Last night was no exception.
Friends and family got together to celebrate a beautiful engagement, and the cold and rain was not going to dampen anyone’s mood! Seeing as the event was held at the beautiful bride’s family home, I opted to dress up a pair of pants in order to be able to keep warm, yet look classy for the event.
I paired my H&M skinny dress pants with a beautiful blouse I bought at Zara that has “stone embroidered” cuffs and a knot on the front.
The cream colored blouse matched perfectly with a pair of nude Shoedazzle pointed toe pumps (that were not the most comfortable).
The jewelry was kept at a minimum around the neck so that the focus of the look remains on the wrists. I did keep my everyday jewelry on, including my Daniel Wellington watch and gold cuff bracelet.
This blouse was definitely the outfit maker, and the rest of the pieces were simply there to bring it all together.
What do you think about this blouse? Do you have any suggestions or ideas you would like to share with regards to your own cold weather outfits?
Side note, this outfit is so classy that it can be pulled off for a small family event as well as for a client meeting. The fun part about these classy looks is that they can be multi functional.
Happy Sunday!
