Regardless of how much I love dresses and skirts, there are some days where all I want to do is wear a comfortable pair of pants or culottes so that I can feel great while staying focused. Seeing as I have spent most of my winter in pants, this may happen rarely, but like everyone else, I have days where I feel bloated, or just uncomfortable, so it’s bound to happen.
As a result, I figured that you would like to see how I cope with difficult body days, and how I pair different pieces from my closet to deal with the heat outdoors, the A/C filled office and all of the other office factors in my way.
For the first outfit, I opted to combine a pair of wide legged Dynamite Clothing culottes with an off white blouse with a twisted front.
The Zara blouse has beautiful details at the cuffs to add a touch of class and is light and airy as to not weigh you down when you step outdoors.
To keep with the monochromatic look, I added my favorite pair of L’Intervalle strappy heels to lengthen my legs, as the culottes do tend to cut them off at an “unfriendly” spot on the legs.
The next look that I opted to go with is a pair of H&M striped pants that I bought last year.
The direction of the stripes elongates the leg, while the black, off the shoulder top that I bought at H&M, shows a little skin in a conservative manner.
If your office doesn’t allow for exposed shoulders, you can opt for a black T-shirt or blouse that you can tuck in for optimal comfort.
With regards to shoes, I went for a low platform with my Zara, clear strapped heels that you have seen on repeat.
The heels are low, the straps are clear, and I can comfortably scurry around the office.
Seeing as I am short, these shoes are perfect as the pants are long enough to fall beneath the tip of the shoe, yet they still add a little bit of height to my legs, as i’m not used to wearing flats all of the time.
My third choice has been on repeat all summer, and I am still obsessed.
These Dynamite floral pants have been my obsession all summer as they are flowy, light and oh so gorgeous!
I paired them with a blue/teal blouse with a front knot that I bought at Zara this past spring for a change, as I typically go for a white top instead.
With regards to the shoes, seeing as the pants are SUPER long on me, I opted to pair them with a beautiful pair of summery platform sandals that I bought from L’Intervalle this past spring.
The final summer pant outfit I wanted to show you guys is with a pair of knotted Zara culottes that I bought during the sale.
Seeing as the slit on the front of the pants is somewhat high, it is definitely a light summer outfit that can be suitable for the office, if you do not work in an overly strict office.
I paired these pants with a Zara white shirt that has elastics around the sleeves for a conservative yet casual look, and added my pair of leafy green mules from Zara for a pop of color.
For those of you who look for alternatives to wear to work, I hope that the last series of posts was inspiring enough to help you make some outfit choices that changed things up a bit this past summer.
Getting out of a rut, regardless of how you are feeling, is important, as you do not allow yourself to become unhappy and unproductive in your environment. I’ve always been an advocate of dressing the part so you can feel the part, regardless of what you think or feel. As a result, you become a better performer at work, as your summer mindset is automatically set to a new and inspiring vibe.
Hope you have a great week!!
