Throwing some sporty styling into your work routine can be an amazing way to change things up from the ordinary! Especially when you have a flexible work environment where you can make some wardrobe modifications to suit your mood.
Following in this fall’s trend, I did buy myself a pair of Zara trousers with a white side stripe. The pants are not to be mistaken for joggers, as they are indeed dress pants, with a little flair to them. For us short people (I’m 5’4″, which can be considered short in the retail world), the hem of the pants cuts off at the ankle. If you have a booty, you may also want to size up by 1 seeing as the European sizes are definitely not booty friendly.
To keep the look on the professional side, I paired the pants with a white blouse. Now, although this blouse was gifted to me by a friend visiting South Korea, you can easily find a plain white blouse at any of your favorite retailers, such as this off white one that I found at RW&CO.
With the blouse and pants combined, I found the look to be very chic, classy and appropriate, but seeing as I was looking for a little more “umph” in my look, I opted to add a corset belt that I got from Zara last spring.
As an alternative option for completing your look, you can easily add a wide belt such as this one, or even opt for a jeweled belt instead (both items linked are also from Zara).
Finally, to complete the look, I went with a pair of nude/blush pumps from L’Intervalle. This store has easily become my favorite shoe store for their reasonable prices, good quality and adorable styles. All shoes they sell are made with quality and have your comfort in mind (believe me, I spend hours in these pumps and escape without a single blister).
The reason I opted to go for a nude pump was to not remove from the rest of the look. With the focus being on the top portion of the whole outfit, a colorful shoe would have distracted the eye and diluted the fun this outfit brings to the table.
I hope this outfit has inspired you to venture out in this fall trend. If you have already done so, I would love it if you shared your outfit combos involving side striped dress pats with me!
I hope you all have a great end of week, and that your stack of halloween goodies is fruitful.
Happy Thursday!
