Weekend wear can be a tricky thing, especially when it involves running errands around town. We tend to either over do it or go a little too casual.
My usual recipe for one of those types of days is to be comfortable, while throwing in a single piece of chic into the mix, to pull the look together for an appropriate yet cute outfit, such as this one.
With fall in full swing and winter slowly creeping in, it’s officially time to pull the knits out. I typically try to hold off until it’s too cool for a heavy t-shirt, and this past weekend, mother nature told me to do it.
Seeing as it was a Sunday grocery store and pharmacy type of run, I chose a grey H&M knit with white stripes for a sporty, oversized type of style.
Along with the knit, I threw on a dark wash pair of Levi’s straight leg jeans and rolled the cuffs up for a more retro feel. These jeans have been in my rotation since I got them this past fall, and they’ll stay on there well into winter.
The chic add-on that I spoke of from the start, which changes my outfit from a totally casual one to a slightly more elevated option, are my booties!
These Public Desire sock booties are not only comfortable, but the patent leather and the heels add the umph needed to dress a casual outfit up by just a notch.
Seeing as I’ve been going through a rut this past year, I’m constantly looking to dress my look up in order to help alter my perception. As a result, I tend to lean towards chicer pieces that may not be following the norm in terms of trends and style.
How do you feel about this look, and combining heels with your casual looks?
Haave a great end of week!!
